We headed to Ocean Shores, WA this weekend. We wanted to get to the ocean before it got too cold so we bought ourselves some rainboots and off we went. I brought extra pants for the boys because I figured they might get a little bit wet, even with rain boots. I thought we could do some tidepool exploring and walk in the waves a little. Wrong. My kids were basically waist deep in the ocean in the first 5 minutes of being there, even though it was cold. It was windy, a little fishy smelling, and the salt breeze did some wonderful things for my curls. The boys still think it’s awesome that we drive right on to the beach. That does not happen in Minnesota. While we were there the light changed from dreary and dull to pastel and cheery as the sun started to set.
Another adventure in the books. Do they really have to go back to school tomorrow?
