Hello! When we lived in Minnesota I printed some 5×7 photos and put them on our wall in a heart shape. I loved it. All the photos were of our little family from the time our oldest was born until present. I hung the photos with putty on the wall and once summer rolled around the humidity curled the edges and the putty started to dry out. The photos just kept falling off the wall. It was cute while it lasted.
Fast forward to today and I have another big empty wall to fill. This time I knew I needed to make the heart a little more supported so I returned to my trusty foam board! I had 39 5×7 photos printed of a lot of our friends and family from back home. I asked them to send me family pictures if I didn’t have a recent one. When they arrived I swooned and cried a little. We miss our people! I cut our 39 5×7 pieces of foam board using a heated blade and adhered with double sided tape. Next, I organized them on the floor in front of the wall, swapping photos here and there to make sure it looked balanced. Then I enlisted my trusty husband and laser-leveler to hang them up.
The boys love looking at the photos and talking about everyone. The babe loves that his favorite pup, “Chipper Dog,” is up the wall, too.
