SUMMER BUCKET LIST // 2014

This year’s bucket list was compiled in March when it was seriously like -60 wind chill. Okay, so it probably wasn't that in March but we did hit that low over the winter. It was brutal. BRUTAL. We gathered in the living room, probably gazing at 12 inches of snow out our window, and thought of all the sweet, sweet activities summer would bring us; swimming, beaches, vacation, living schedule free. ...

ONWARD AND UPWARD

Hello! Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited to start this new blog. I've been wanting to do it for a few months because while I love the work I did for Jennifer Witt Photography, it's not a business anymore. I enjoy photography but learned my lesson that it is a better hobby than business. It kind of took all the fun of out of it when I worried about what the clients would like/not like, ...

OUR MADELINE ISLAND VACATION

I went to Madeline Island when I was little and I still remember riding the ferry over and the captain letting me look in the wheel house.  I remember my parents telling me and my sister that the water was too cold to swim in but we did get to feed the ducks. We fed them Cheetos, actually, and one of the ducks bit my sister’s finger. It’s funny the things we remember from our ...

SUMMER BUCKET LIST // BUILD A KID BIKE WASH

Oh, Minnesota...thank you for finally gracing us with summer. This past weekend we decided we were going to build our kid wash/bike wash. We made a family trip to Home Depot and grabbed all the PVC pipe and fittings plus some purple cement-like stuff that apparently seals it all together. We headed home and the boys went down for the night. I went to work out and by the time I got back, Brandon ...

RAISING EMPOWERED CHILDREN

This is not going to be the most feel-good post. It's not the most feel-good topic. However, I feel like it's a topic that I need to address and it's a topic that needs to be talked about, openly and honestly, no matter how uncomfortable it is for us. So, for today, for just this one post with a more serious tone, hang with me and maybe you'll read something that you could be helpful to ...

Hello! I’m Jennifer.

I'm a momma to three amazing boys and a wife to a husband that's pretty perfect, too. What will you find here? Well, I mostly write about life with my three boys and our adventures living in the PNW, and because life isn't always sunshine and rainbows I write about adult-ing/parenting after childhood trauma. I write because I'm called to, not only by the people around me, but by a stirring in my soul that nudges (okay, sometimes shoves) me to do so. I hope you find something that you can connect to here. I'm excited to share this crazy, awesome life with you and I hope you'll share your voice here, too. Read More…
